
Riverhawks Announce Team Doctors

March 16, 2005 - The Johnstown Riverhawks of the Atlantic Indoor Football League have announced Dr. Raymond M. Bleday and Dr. Kevin L. Messner team doctors. Dr. Bleday, a native of Central Pennsylvania practiced orthopedics and sports medicine in Erie and Titusville PA, before relocating back to his roots in Northern Cambria County. In addition to private practice, Dr. Bleday has served as a sports fellow with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He is a former high school football coach and has been both a high school and college team physician. Dr. Bleday recently announced the opening of his new practice in the Norcam Building in Carolltown, PA. He can be reached at 814-344-8479.
Dr. Messner holds a certificate in Sports Medicine from the American Board of Emergency Medicine and currently serves as the Emergency Department and Sports Medicine physician at Miners Medical Center. Messner serves as team physician for the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Altoona Curve. "Paramount to all other concerns regarding our team is the health and well-being of our players," said Brian Schwelling the Riverhawks owner, "Dr. Bleday and Messner, like the Riverhawks, are the best at what they do and we will accept nothing less than that for our team."
