Johnstown RiverHawks News Release
The Johnstown Riverhawks of the Atlantic Indoor Football League coming off of a heartbreaking loss to the Erie Freeze have made some significant roster changes this week.
In addition to WR/DB Reggie Blanchard formerly of the Canadian Football League who was signed by the team last week, the Riverhawks have added several other players on the line and at the skilled positions.
Mike Smith: 6'5" 335 lbs OL/DL Four year starter Mississippi Valley State University,was a 2004 First Team All-SWAC Conference offensive lineman.
Andre Letren: 5'10" 205 lbs. WR/DB is a defensive back from Troy State University, 5-ft. 10-in., 195-lb., who played with the Bayou Bucks of the National Indoor Football League was signed by the Calgary Stampeders in 2004. Letren was a stand out for the Renegades during the 2003 season and played in the 2003 NAFL All Star game hosted at Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex; Orlando, FL.
Eiland Means: 6'6" 250 lbs. OL/DL comes from exceptional football pedigree. His brother Albert was just signed by the Houston Texans as a nose tackle, his cousin Natrone Means was an all-pro FB for the San Diego Chargers, and last but not least cousin Emmett Smith...no explanation necessary. Eiland who played for the Coahoma Tigers (Junior College) last year posted a league high 17 sacks.
