Columbus Riverdragons News Release

COLUMBUS, Ga.—The Columbus Riverdragons are looking to provide affordable family entertainment in a new way for the upcoming 2003-04 National Basketball Development League season with the introduction of two new Mini-Plans.

For just $50, fans can purchase a Mini-Plan for six basketball games and receive a free, top-grain leather, T-1000 Spalding football. All Mini-Plan game dates are on weekends and holidays, and give Riverdragons fans the chance to see "one game a month".

"As I speak with leaders and individuals throughout Columbus, I am told they love the Riverdragons yet have only been able to attend a few games each year because of their busy family and work schedules," said Riverdragons team president Barry McMullin. "Thus, we sat down as a staff and came up with the ‘6 Game Mini-Plan'. A perfect one game a month, with six of our best nights that are sure to be full of great family entertainment. Six games for the price of five. What a great buy!"

The Riverdragons are offering two different Mini-Plan packages for the 2003-04 season:

The theme of the ad campaign is "Football Now, Basketball Later" and will be aired during WRBL TV-3's 12:30 p.m. CBS broadcasts of SEC Football on Saturdays this fall, as well as on local cable TV providers. Advertising campaigns will also be featured on local radio outlets as well as in the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer.

"With our big ticket push right in the middle of the football season, we thought we would cater to the sports fan by offering a free football now, followed by fantastic basketball later," said McMullin. "A free official size Spalding football to carry you through the football season! We have something for everyone."

Mini-plans can be purchased by calling the Riverdragons ticket office at (706) 225-1100 or (706) 225-1112, at the Riverdragons offices located at 18 East 11th Street in Uptown Columbus. For more information on Mini-Plans, log on to www.columbusriverdragons.com.
