RICHMOND, VA - Joey Bastien's goal midway through the 3rd period broke a 3-3 tie and gave the RiverDogs a 4-3 regulation win over the Roanoke Valley Vipers in front of a crowd of 1,896 at the Richmond Coliseum. Also contributing to the win was the high-octane line of John DiPace (2g), Bobby Kukulka (1g, 2a) and Todd Grant (3a). Mike D'Alessandro got the win in nets for the RiverDogs. The Dogs darted out to a 2-0 lead on DiPace's two markers before Mike Wiggins cut the deficit to 2-1. Bobby Kukulka put the RiverDogs ahead 3-1 on a tip in coming from a Dan Vandermeer shot. Mark Scott tallied twice to tie the game at 3 before Bastien's game winning goal.
