RiverCity Rage News Release
St. Charles, MO - The RiverCity Rage will be hosting their second open tryout on Saturday, January 19th at the Jamestown Sports Complex in Florissant, MO. Registration will start at 2:00 with the tryout beginning at 3:00. The tryout is open for all players, with the exception of kickers, 18 years of age and older.
This will be the final open tryout held by RiverCity for their 2008 team as the Rage season begins Sunday, March 2nd. After the great response the team received at their previous tryout in November, the Rage staff is looking forward to another outstanding showing in January.
"Our coaches were very excited about the quality of players that came to our first tryout," said Rage General Manager Matt Jones. "We signed eight of those players and I'm sure we will have at least the same, if not better, showing this time around."
Players will, once again, be evaluated by Rage coaches on the following skills:
- 40 yard dash - Pro agility test
- 20 yard pro shuttle - Vertical jump
- Bench press @ 225 lbs - One-on-one position drills
Players are asked to wear either turf shoes or tennis shoes. No cleats are allowed on the Jamestown Sports Complex turf. It will not be necessary for players to bring football equipment. The tryout registration fee is $50 if paid prior to January 19th. If players register on the day of the tryout, the fee will be $65.
The RiverCity Rage Professional Indoor Football team is a member of the United Indoor Football League. All Rage home games are played at The Family Arena in St. Charles, MO. Rage season tickets are now on sale for the 2008 season and prices start for as low as $10. For ticketing information contact the Rage ticket office at (636) 896-4285.
