RiverCity Rage Owners among many WIL-Elves

St Louis, MO - On Friday, December 17th the RiverCity Rage owners pledged to donate over $1000 worth of toys towards the Cornbread's "Stuff-My-Studio" Toy drive. That amount was exceeded when team owners Jerry Lakin and Scott Wilson made an early delivery to the âCorn-Pole' this morning.
Cornbread's "Stuff-My-Studio" toy drive provides toys, gift certificates and various other items to families that cannot afford such items during the holidays. "There were people lined up from the studio door to the elevator, waiting for their chance to get a gift," said Morris Groves, Director of Operations for the Rage. "Their stories were each so touching and it was amazing to see Cornbread and all the WIL staff so eager to help."
Among the items donated by the Rage were two special vehicles, the Rage Pocket-Rocket and the Ragefootball.com H2 Hummer Remote Control. This past weekend owners Jerry Lakin and Scott Wilson were busy collecting donations and gathering toys for this worthy cause. "You can never do too much for the community," stated Jerry Lakin. "This is something that the RiverCity Rage is all about; the community supports us, and we in return want to support the community."
Other items donated by the Rage included: CD stereo, digital camera, various sports equipment and balls, puzzles, stuffed animals, games, batteries, gift certificates, books, and more!
"The RiverCity Rage are proud to be WIL-Elves," said Scott Wilson. "We [the RiverCity Rage] plan on being part of several local events that benefit the community. We not only want to aid these worthy causes, but also want to make people more aware and active in their communities."
Due to the overwhelming response from listeners this morning, who are willing to donate gifts, the RiverCity Rage will continue to accept NEW, UNWRAPPED toys until Wednesday, December 22nd. All items can be dropped off at 1000 Country Club, Suite 100, St. Charles, MO 63303.
The RiverCity Rage would like to thank all those who have donated generously towards the "Stuff-My-Studio" toy drive and would like to give a B-I-G thank you to Cornbread, and the 92.3 WIL Staff, for making Christmas special for those less fortunate. Thank you!
