RiverCity Rage Appoint Art Clarkson New Team President

ST. CHARLES, MISSOURI- The RiverCity Rage, a member of the newly formed Indoor Football League (IFL), has named Art Clarkson as their new team President. The Rage 14-game season will begin play in March 2009 at the St. Charles Family Arena.

"I am very excited to have Art on board," said RiverCity Rage Owner Jeff Sprowls. "Art brings a level of professionalism and experience to the team that is unmatched in minor league sports."

Clarkson has over 32-years of experience as a minor league sports owner and operator of several successful organizations. He joins the Rage front office after serving as owner and operator of the Rock River Raptors, an indoor team in Rockford, Illinois. The team moved to Rockford from Huntsville, Alabama where under Clarkson the team smashed attendance and revenue records.

In his over 32-years of minor league experience, Clarkson has worked in the front office for hockey, baseball, and football franchises. In every stop along the way, under Clarkson's direction, the teams reached record heights in fan attendance due to his devotion to enthusiastic promotions, engaging fan interaction, and on the field excitement. On multiple occasions in his career Clarkson was awarded executive of the year awards in both minor league baseball and football.

"I came aboard to help Jeff Sprowls and the RiverCity Rage move to the next level," said Clarkson. "I am excited to be working in such a great area of the country and making this the best organization in professional indoor football."
