July 17, 2006 - National Indoor Football League (NIFL)
RiverCity Rage News Release

St. Louis, July 17, 2006-The RiverCity Rage have advanced to the NIFL Atlantic Conference Championship this coming Saturday night.

With a 48-30 win over the Cincinnati Marshals, the Rage have earned a spot in the NIFL Atlantic Conference Final.

The Rage came into the game against the Marshals without power back Sha-Ron Edwards and would have to find someone else to pickup the offensive power. They found it in the man who replaced Edwards for the night, Mike Lawrence. Lawrence finished the game with 15 carries for 65 yards and three touchdowns. He also had one receiving touchdown.

On defense, Terrell Washington turned up the heat with three tackles and one interceptions, while Joe Bevis led the team in tackles with nine total.

Rage fans also saw a familiar face, but one that hasn't been on the field in awhile. Quarterback Clay Groefsema returned for the Rage going 4-8 and picking up 73 yards with two touchdowns.

MEDIA PLAYERS OF THE GAME:

Terrell Washington was voted the Defensive Player Of The Game, while Moses Regular was voted the Offensive Player Of The Game. Regular finished the game with nine catches for 151 yards and 2 touchdowns.
