(Cedar Rapids, IA) A lot of talent and a lot of good basketball was played at the US Cellular Center as the Cedar Rapids River Raiders took on the Westchester Wildfire. A great game tonight, in which both teams traded the lead several times. Four quarters and 3 technical later the River Raiders pull off their fifth victory on their home court. Cedar Rapids 108, Westchester 98 ended in regulation. Dean Oliver walks away the leading scorer for the River Raiders with 22 points, 6 assists and 82% shooting from the line. Courtney James also had an impressive game ending up with a double â double 17 points and 10 rebounds prior to fouling out in the 4th quarter.
River Raiders next scheduled home game will be Saturday May 8 @ 7:15 tip off against the St. Louis Skyhawks. Heidi Strobel from Survivor Amazon will here to sign autographs and help with the Survivor challenge at halftime. So dress in your Survivor duds and come down to the us Cellular Center for all the action! Also the first 500 people in the door will receive River Raiders rally towels.
