
River Raiders Participate in Area Events over the Weekend

Cedar Rapids, IA (February 18, 2004) The River Raiders Front Office and Raiderettes' will be busy this weekend participating in area community events.
On Friday the River Raiders & Raiderettes' will be at the Cedar Rapids Sunrise Rotary Chili Supper at the Aegon USA Cafeteria from 4:30pm thru 7:30pm. This fundraiser put on by the Cedar Rapids Sunrise Rotary is in its 9th year and funds will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation®.
On Saturday February 21 the River Raiders will be participating in Cathererine's Comfort Walk presented by Panera Bread of Cedar Rapids. Proceeds from this event will benefit the Catherine McAuley Center, its programs and its mission of "promoting the well-being and dignity of individuals. The Catherine McAuley Center provides basic education for adults and transitional housing program for women.
The River Raiders will start its inaugural 30 game regular season (15 home games) on Friday April 16, 2004 at 7:15 vs. the Oklahoma Storm at the U.S. Cellular Center in downtown Cedar Rapids. Single game tickets will go on sale March 1, 2004 at the U.S. Cellular Center Box office. The River Raiders are an expansion franchise of the 19 year-old United States Basketball League.
