
River Raiders Games to Air on 1360AM "The Fan" / KXIC 800AM

CEDAR RAPIDS, IA (October 15, 2003) â The Cedar Rapids River Raiders today announce a broadcast partnership with Clear Channel Radio and 1360AM "The Fan" / KXIC 800AM to air at least 15 River Raiders games in their inaugural season starting April 2004. Several games could be added to the broadcast schedule at a later time once the schedule is released mid December to mid January.
"We are excited to partner with 1360AM "The Fan" / KXIC 800AM as broadcast partners for the upcoming season, said President and CEO Barry S. Smith. Having 1360AM "The Fan" / KXIC 800AM as partners gives fans another outlet to keep track of the River Raiders during the season to games who may not be able to attend."
Along with the broadcast partnership comes veteran broadcaster Mark Allen who would be the official radio voice of the Cedar Rapids River Raiders. Mark Allen has been the Sports Director at KXIC 800 AM since 1994, WMT since 2001, 1360 AM "The Fan". Mark's duties in Iowa Sports include sideline reporting for Iowa Football and play-by-play for Iowa Women's Basketball.

The River Raiders will start its inaugural 30 game regular season in April of 2004 at the US Cellular Center in downtown Cedar Rapids.
