The Cedar Rapids River Kings have signed rookie running back Divonte Beale to its 2019 roster.

Beale (5'10", 205) comes to Cedar Rapids after a successful college career at Southwest Minnesota State, where he played his final two seasons with the Mustangs.

His senior season Beale finished the year second on the team in rushing yards (425), playing in eight games with one start. He earned a season-high 164 yards against the University of Mary and had a total of three touchdowns on the year. Beale's junior season saw him amass 403 yards on the ground with three touchdowns.

Prior to joining the Mustangs Beale played at Santa Ana College, rushing for a team high 367 yards and five touchdowns in nine games during his sophomore season. He also collected ten passes for a total of 185 yards and two touchdowns. As a freshman he totaled 226 rushing yards and two touchdowns.

Beale is from Anaheim, California, and attended Katella High School.
