River Drivers Ink Pair Of Rookies

Berlin, NH - The Berlin River Drivers Professional Hockey Club are proud to announce the signatures of Benoit Charron and Alexandre Grenier to contracts for upcoming 2015-2016 season at the Notre Dame Arena.

Charron and Grenier, 21, both come to Berlin after spending the past two seasons with the Terrebonne Cobras of the Quebec Junior Hockey League (QJHL) and now are bringing their experience and talents from "La Belle Province" to the River Drivers. Benoit has been the Terrebonne Cobras' Captain for the last two seasons and has tallied 35 goals and 39 assists since he took tenure during the 2013-2014 season. In 98 games, Grenier scored 29 goals and 38 assists since joining the Cobras after two seasons in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) with Drummondville Voltigeurs and Sherbrooke Phoenix.

"Alex and Benny are both offensively gifted rookies who like to move the puck and create opportunities. They are really an exciting pair to watch and I look forward to them starting their professional careers in Berlin", said General Manager and Head Coach Gabe Yeung.

The River Drivers begin their inaugural season hosting last season's FHL Commissioner's Cup runner ups, the Danville (IL) Dashers on November 14th, starting at 7pm at the Notre Dame Arena.
