Rio Grande Valley's John Murray Named Oakley CHL Goaltender of the Week

GLENDALE, AZ (March 13, 2012) -The Central Hockey League announced today that Rio Grande Valley Killer Bee John Murray has been named the Oakley Central Hockey League Goaltender of the Week for the period ending March 11, 2012.

The Lancaster, Pennsylvania native has been a big reason for the Bees playoff push that currently has them sitting in the fourth and final slot in the Berry Conference.
Following up a shutout performance on Sunday, Murray won both of his starts last week allowing just three goals on 71 shots (.957 save percentage).
His week started on Wednesday with a 32-save performance which helped his team to a 3-1 victory over Laredo. He followed that up with a 36-save effort in a 6-2 win over Arizona on Friday.
On the season, Murray is 14-13-2 with a 2.70 goals against average and a .916 save percentage. The 6-0, 196-pound goalie is 8-6-1 with three shutouts in his last 15 decisions.
