RimRockers to play back to back games against Blackhawks to finish season

Little Rock, AR. (Thursday, February 24)- The Arkansas RimRockers are scheduled to take on the Bellevue (Washington) Blackhawks in back-to-back games starting Friday, February 25 and March 1. The RimRockers were originally scheduled to host the Louisiana Cajun Pelicans on Friday and the Cincinnati Monarchs on Tuesday, March 1, but neither team was able to make the trip to Arkansas.

The Bellevue Blackhawks are coached by Rick Turner, a former nine-year veteran of the NBA Seattle Supersonics' front office. He was also selected as the NWAACC Region Coach of the year in 2002 while coaching at Bellevue Community College. The Blackhawks are 10-11 under Coach Turner and are ranked 13th in the ABA Power Rankings, which keeps them in contention of making the ABA playoffs.

The Blackhawks' MVP is Eric Sandrin, a 6-9 forward from Bothell, WA. Sandrin is averaging 16.5 points per game and 10.7 rebounds. Sandrin, along with teammate Lavelle Brown, recently represented the West in the ABA all-star game. Brown, a 6-2 guard from Seattle's Garfield High School has been the teams' leading scorer and set the Blackhawks franchise record for most points in a single game when he racked up 49 against the Portland Reign.

The RimRockers are currently 26-5 on the season and are ranked third in the ABA Power Rankings. With two regular season games remaining, the RimRockers are steadily making their way to the ABA play-off series, which begins March 8 at Alltel Arena.
