Arkansas RimRockers News Release
LITTLE ROCK, Ark., August 25-The Arkansas RimRockers will be greeting 4th and 5th grade students at Indian Hills Elementary school on August 26 to share their T.I.P.S. principle program. The T.I.P.S. principal program stands for Team work, Intensity, Pressures and Sacrifices of the tough choices often faced during the middle and high school time period, as well as in the professional world of athletics. The opportunity is designed to allow students to interact on a personal level with Arkansas RimRockers staff and coaches. After the T.I.P.S. discussion, the students will be allowed to ask questions and interact on a personal level with Arkansas' first professional basketball team.
"It is our desire to help educate and inform students of the normalcy of growing up," director of community relations Emily Wade said. "Setting goals and learning how to execute those goals is an important part of maturing and become productive citizens and the Arkansas RimRockers are proud to share in this experience."
The NBA Development League includes the Arkansas RimRockers (Little Rock), Austin Toros (Texas), Fayetteville Patriots (N.C.), Florida Flame (Ft. Myers), Fort Worth Flyers (Texas), Roanoke Dazzle (Va.), Tulsa 66ers (Okla.), as well as a team in Albuquerque (N.M.).
