
Rimmer Returns to Mallards

MOLINE, Ill. - Quad City Mallards goaltender Ty Rimmer has returned to the Mallards from the American Hockey League's Oklahoma City Barons, the Mallards announced today.
The 22-year old Rimmer last Monday was recalled by the Barons for the second time this season. The 6' 1", 170-pound Edmonton native served as backup netminder in three games without seeing any action during his second stint with Oklahoma City. Rimmer went 1-0-1 with a 2.65 goals against average and a .930 save percentage while playing three games for the Barons in December.
Rimmer went 18-14-5 in 39 games with the Mallards this season and finished the regular season tied for third in the Central Hockey League in shutouts (3) and ranked seventh in save percentage (.906), goals against average (2.84) and wins. Last week he was named to the CHL all-rookie team.
The Mallards head to Rapid City Friday and Saturday for games one and two of their best-of-seven opening round playoff series against the Rush. The Mallards return home for game three on Wednesday, April 9 at 7:05 p.m. and game four on Friday, April 11 at 7:05 p.m. If a fifth game is necessary, it will be played on
Saturday night April 12 at 7:05 p.m. at the iWireless Center. Should a sixth game be required, the series will shift back to Rapid City on Tuesday, April 15. If the series goes to a seventh game, the Rush would host the deciding contest on Wednesday, April 16.

The ticket office is open weekdays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and on game days from 10:00 a.m. until the start of the second period.
