The Saskatchewan Roughrider Football Club announced today that they have signed non-import offensive lineman Jim Merrick. Details of the contracts were not released.
Jim Merrick was drafted by the Roughriders in the 4th round (32nd overall) in last year's CFL College Draft. After an impressive training camp, Merrick returned to McGill to finish his University career. The 23-year old was named to the CIS first All-Canadian team and has been selected to the QIFC All-Conference team in the past two seasons.

COLLEGE: Spent the past four seasons patrolling the offensive line at McGill University...was a CIS first team All-Canadian in 2002...was also named to the QIFC All-Conference team the past two seasons...very strong against the pass and rush...originally started at McGill as a defensive lineman.
