Ricardo Pereira Named Pitcher of the Week

The Appalachian League named Ricardo Pereira their pitcher of the week for the period spanning July 27th through August 3rd.
In that timespan Pereira made two apperances and won both games. During those two games, he did not allow a single run and struck out 12 batters.
Pereira started on July 29th against the Burlington Royals. He pitched six-and-two-thirds innings of four hit ball with six strikeouts.
Pereira's final apperance with the team came on August 3rd out of the bullpen. He lasted five innings and struck out six yet again.
Today's announcement coincides with Ricardo's move to the Clinton LumberKings.
