North Texas SC News Release

Frisco, Texas - North Texas Soccer Club forward Ricardo Pepi has been called up to the U.S. Under-17 Men's National Team by new head coach Raphael Wicky.

Pepi, 16, is the second youngest player included in the 26-man camp which runs from April 4-8 in Lakewood Ranch, Fla. This is Pepi's fourth U.S. U-17 camp, but his first under recently hired head coach Raphael Wicky.

In his professional debut Saturday for North Texas SC in USL League One, Pepi scored three goals against the Chattanooga Red Wolves SC and was named USL League One's Player of the Week. During the 2019 regular and preseason combined, Pepi has now scored nine goals in five games since signing as North Texas SC's first player in December 2018.

Without any official games scheduled for the U-17 team, this camp will serve primarily as an opportunity for Wicky to evaluate his players ahead of the 2019 CONCACAF U-17 Championship taking place in May.
