Durham, N.C. - The American Association announced that the contract of Amarillo Sox RHP Chase Johnson was sold to the Baltimore Orioles organization on Monday.
In his first season with Amarillo, Johnson went 5-5 with a 3.66 ERA in 2012, making 44 appearances out of the bullpen and registering a team-high 11 saves. The Avondale, Ariz., native struck out 46 hitters in 46.2 innings of work for the Sox, who went 46-54 on the season.
