
Rhinos Face Tough Test with Two Matches This Week

ROCHESTER, NY - The Rochester Rhinos will depart from Rochester on Tuesday morning aboard a plane to Cary, NC as they prepare to face the Carolina RailHawks from WakeMed Stadium on Wednesday night. The match, which kicks off at 7:00 p.m. is the second between the two clubs in two weeks and will be the fourth and final regular season meeting in 2010. The season series is tied at 1-1-1 heading into Wednesday's rubber match.
Rochester (10-5-6) enters Wednesday's match in second place in the USL Conference with 36 points. They trail conference leader, Austin (12-2-5) by five points heading into the final month of play. The RailHawks (7-4-7) are in a tight race for positioning themselves as they trail NASL Conference leader Vancouver (8-3-11) by eight points. Carolina however has four games in hand on the Whitecaps.
Rochester needs to be aware of Etienne Barbara and Josh Gardner who are tied for the lead on Carolina with five goals and two assists. Offensively, Rochester is led by Anthony Hamilton and Isaac Kissi who each have four goals and an assist in 2010.
Rochester's goalkeeping duo of Scott Vallow and Neil Kitson have allowed the second fewest goals against the season. Individually the pair ranks first and second in league play allowing seven and nine goals respectively.
On Saturday the Rhinos will return home to Marina Auto Stadium to take on the Montreal Impact (6-9-6). Rochester will enter the match leading the season series with a win and a tie against their arch-rivals. The Impact, the defending league champions are in third place in the NASL Conference four points behind the Carolina RailHawks. Tony Donatelli leads the club with six goals and 15 points in 2010. His point total is good enough to place him sixth in the league in scoring.
