
Rhinos Continue Open Cup Play

(Rochester, NY)...The Rochester Rhinos, return home on Tuesday for a second round match in U.S. Open Cup play against USL-1 expansion Cleveland City Stars beginning at 7:00 p.m. The two sides met on Saturday night in Cleveland with the Stars claiming a 3-0 victory over the Rhinos.
Rochester advanced to second round play by virtue of their exciting win over the Pittsburgh Riverhounds last Tuesday in penalty kicks. Cleveland emerged from first round play courtesy of a 3-1 win over the St. Louis Lions of the USL Premier Development League (PDL) last Tuesday night.
The match will pit the Rhinos against the Stars for the second time in four days and the third time overall this season. It will be the first time the two have squared off at Marina Auto Stadium as the teams have traded 3-0 wins during USL-1 regular season play in Cleveland.
With a win the Rhinos would advance to third round play where they would host the Columbus Crew at Marina Auto Stadium on Tuesday, June 30 at 7:00 p.m.

Tuesday also continues Saranac Weekdays featuring $2.00 Utica Club on Tuesday and Wednesday home matches.
Rochester will resume USL-1 play this Sunday, June 21 when they travel to face the expansion Austin Aztecs. Austin has experienced growing pains this season going 2-4-4 in their first ten games of first division play. Yordany Alvarez leads offensively for the Aztecs with three goals and two assists. Rochester is 1-1 against expansion teams this season.
RHINOS ATIENO TO MISS MATCHES
Rhinos striker Tai Atieno will miss Tuesday's U.S. Open Cup match as well as their match at Austin on Sunday. The Rhinos second leading scorer has been called up to the Kenyan National Team for their match on June 20 against Nairobi.
