Friday: El Paso 2 @ Brahmas 4 - Brahmas defeat the Rhinos in game 1 of the series 4-2. Dylan Smith put the Brahmas on the board ahead of the Rhinos early in the first period as they started their offense. Nicholas Niemo increased the Brahmas' lead followed shortly by Dylan Smith once more, ending the period at 3-0 Brahmas. Returning to the ice in the second period saw Dylan Smith earning a Hat trick with his third goal of the night. The Rhinos' Matt Johnson scores twice in the third period - denying the Brahmas a complete shutout and ending the game at 4-2.
Saturday: El Paso 0 @ Brahmas 4 - Rhinos were shutout Saturday evening by the Brahmas' Jan Skorpik blocking 15 shots. The Brahmas score 18 seconds into the first period courtesy of Ray Murakami. Dylan Smith closes out the period with one more goal, setting the score at 2-0 Rhinos trailing behind. The Brahmas' Logan Tobias increased the lead with one goal in the second and Tanner Daniels scoring deep into the third period, finalizing the series with a 4-0 Rhino defeat.
