
Rhinos Acquire Goalkeeper Ring on Loan from Fire

(Rochester, NY)..... Rochester Raging Rhinos Vice President and General Manager Chris Economides announced today that the club has acquired goalkeeper Henry Ring on a season-long loan from the Chicago Fire of Major League Soccer.
Ring, 26, was drafted by the Fire in the third round (33rd overall) of the 2001 MLS SuperDraft. The 6'3" 185 pound Ring played in one match with the Fire during the 2002 season, earning his first professional win in a 5-4 contest against the Columbus Crew.
A native of Franklin, TN he was a Third Team All-American in 1998 and 2000, joining MetroStars forward Clint Mathis as just the second South Carolina player to accomplish that feat twice. In addition, he earned All-South Regions Honors in 1998 and 2000. As a senior he led South Carolina to a 12-4-3 record and a 0.93 goals against average.
