FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - The New England Revolution's Celebrity Bartending series returns in 2014 when four New England Revolution stars - Kevin Alston, Andrew Farrell, Lee Nguyen and Bobby Shuttleworth - will step off of the pitch and behind the bar at Clerys Boston (113 Dartmouth St., Boston, Mass., 02116) on Thursday, Aug, 21, to showcase their cocktail-shaking skills for charity.
Additionally, Revolution legend and current ESPN soccer analyst Taylor Twellman and Dalen Cuff, Comcast SportsNet anchor and host of "State of the Revs," are scheduled to attend the event and help out behind the bar.
The Revs' mixologists-in-training will tend bar when they mix, pour and serve cocktails for fans. All of their tips during the event - cash or credit - will be donated to ThinkTaylor (thinktaylor.org), a non-profit founded by Twellman to create social change in the world of traumatic brain injuries by generating increased awareness, recognition and education.
The celebrity bartending event will kick-off at 6:30 p.m. at Clerys, with the players serving up cocktails from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The Rev Girls will also be on site to take photos and distribute giveaways to fans.
"I'm really excited to be a part of this Celebrity Bartending event at Clerys with the Revolution," Twellman said. "The entire Revolution family has been incredibly supportive of our efforts to raise awareness about traumatic brain injuries through ThinkTaylor, and it will be great to be a part of an event that can bring the topic to a new group of people. I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone on August 21."
There is no cover charge for the event and fans are encouraged to come out and support ThinkTaylor and the Revs.
