Revolution to Host Free concerts with East Coast Talent

June 28, 2006 - National Indoor Football League (NIFL)
Greensboro Revolution News Release

Greensboro, NC. - The Greensboro Revolution are glad to be back at the Greensboro Coliseum's US Staffing Field not only to close out the 2006 Inaugural Season with a win, but to give football fans, an exciting night of free entertainment. The Revolution Promotions department has put in place an evening of musical entertainment that will have fans eager to come back in the 2007 season.

Serving as the Revolution pre-game concert entertainment is Stokeswood. Stokeswood's sound is based on strong acoustic and electric guitar licks, filled with influences like Simon and Garfunkel, Radiohead, and the Beatles, to name a few, and clearly illuminates those emanations under the light of a more present time. The Stokeswood performance reflects an energy that is at once tranquil and energizing. "We play with a lot of feel and passion and that love is passed from the stage to the crowd, I hope", stated by band member Mark Godwin. "We want people to walk away knowing that we left everything we had on the stage," stated by Adam Patterson. The sound that results from this collaboration is almost too power-filled to come from a trio. And that's a good thing. Stokeswood will continue their Triad area tour later that night, as they will hit the bar scene at Cooper's Ale House, the official post-game spot for the Revolution. For more information and tour dates on Stokeswood, visit www.stokeswood.net.

After fans have had their night of hard hitting, football action....So Close your In It. A post-game concert provided by Florida's own Nails, is set to be held on the US Staffing Field. Nails, a Gospel Hip-Hop rapper, uses creative metaphors with a heavy delivery. "Positive lyrics and Holy Hip Hop is the way I bring the noise to the people," stated by Nails a Jacksonville, FL native. "I want to show the world you can have great music, solid lyrics, and awesome performers that will speak about religion and life." For more information on Nails, be sure to visit his website at www.sonicbids.com/nails.

The Revolution will take the playing field this Saturday, July 1 against Cincinnati at 7:30 pm. For ticket information visit any Triad area Lowe's Foods, the Greensboro Coliseum box office or on-line at www.tickets.com.
