
Revolution Preseason Continued Saturday at Orlando City SC

ORLANDO, Fla. - The New England Revolution resumed the 2024 preseason Saturday night against Orlando City SC, falling 3-1 at Inter&Co Stadium. A total of 23 players saw action for New England in its third of five preseason friendlies against MLS opposition as the club continued its preparations for the 2024 Concacaf Champions Cup and the MLS regular season.
Midfielder Matt Polster gave New England a swift 1-0 lead, converting on forward Tomás Chancalay's assist in the opening minute. Polster and Chancalay were joined in New England's Starting XI tonight by two Homegrown midfielders Noel Buck and Esmir Bajraktarevic. Fellow Revolution Academy products Peyton Miller and Tiago Suarez, and midfielder Jack Panayotou also saw action as substitutes.
On the defensive end, three of New England's newcomers appeared in Saturday's match. Goalkeeper Henrich Ravas suited up for the third time this preseason, while defenders Nick Lima and Jonathan Mensah each played 45 minutes in the backline. Forwards Giacomo Vrioni and Bobby Wood split the action up top for the Revolution.
The Revolution conclude the preseason with two friendlies next week against the Philadelphia Union (Wednesday, Feb. 14) and FC Cincinnati (Thursday, Feb. 15). The 2024 season then officially begins when the Revolution visit CA Independiente in Panama for the first leg of Round One of the 2024 Concacaf Champions Cup on Wednesday, Feb. 21 (8:00 p.m. ET - Tubi, TUDN).
