York Revolution News Release

(York, Pa): After an 11-8 loss to Newark on Monday night, which began the longest homestand of the 2008 season for the Revolution, General Manager Matt O'Brien is guaranteeing victory Tuesday night against the Bears. Game time is 7:07 p.m., and the gates at Sovereign Bank Stadium will open at 6 p.m.

"This might be the most important homestand in Revolution history," said O'Brien. "We're right behind Lancaster for a potential playoff spot, and we believe we can win the second half this season. We're a confident group, so why not guarantee victory?"

No one will be able to accuse O'Brien of not being true to his guarantee, as the Revolution boss has put his (or at least the Revolution's) money where his mouth is. Should the Revolution lose to Newark on Tuesday night, every fan in attendance will be able to exchange their ticket stub for a FREE ticket to any remaining 2008 York Revolution regular season home game at Sovereign Bank Stadium, based on availability.

The Revolution are currently hosting an 11-game homestand at "The Vault", through Thursday, August 14. They will be in action every night in Downtown York between now and then, against the Newark Bears, Camden Riversharks and Southern Maryland Blue Crabs. For a complete list of promotions and giveaways for the homestand, or to purchase tickets for Tuesday night's game and beyond, visit www.YorkRevolution.com. Fans can also purchase tickets by calling 717-801-HITS or by visiting the Apple Chevrolet Ticket office during regular business hours.
