
Revolution Announce Partnership with Olympian Johnson's Center

Plano, TX: The Texas Revolution announced today that they have joined forces with former Olympian, Michael Johnson and his McKinney based performance center. Michael Johnson Performance is known around the world as one of the premier sports training facilities, handling combine training and rehabilitation for NFL hopefuls and veterans alike. In the past five years notable NFL stars such as Robert Griffin III, Mike Wallace and more have done their pre-combine training at MJP. Their specialty is speed training, which will work hand in hand with the coaching staff's in-season workout.
In tandem, the two organizations will be hosting all Revolution practices through the 2014 IFL (Indoor Football League) Season. It's hoped that having such a state of the art facility as well as all things needed from a training standpoint that Revolution players and personnel will have the foundation needed to breed success from day one.
Congruently, the staff of MJP is committed to excellence on all levels and helping to bring innovative training techniques to the Revolution roster. MJP is a Nike performance test center, which will allow Revolution staff, players and coaches to test, and prototype the newest Nike technology.

Revolution sign IFL Veteran Josh Floyd The Revolution also announced the signing of QB/WR Josh Floyd. Floyd is a four year veteran of indoor football, with three years spent in the IFL. Floyd got his career started in Richmond, VA with the Richmond Revolution, before he was traded to the West Texas Roughnecks. In 11 games with the Roughnecks in 2010 Floyd totaled 877 yards and seven touchdowns. It was during the 2012 season that Floyd was recognized by the league as one of the league's premier players. in 14 games with the Roughnecks Floyd totaled 1,906 all purpose yards, which ranked 1st in the league, with 19 touchdowns (7th most). This past season, in the Lone Star Football League with the New Mexico Stars, Floyd dominated every opponent, leading the league with 1,770 all-purpose yards, 26 touchdowns and 168 points scored. Floyd will be listed on the roster first as a Quarterback, then wide receiver.
"Josh is one of the very best players in the league and I'm thrilled to have him back on my team", stated Revolution Head Coach Chris Williams. "We're going to try him at quarterback to begin with and see if we can use his dynamic abilities to gain some wins. Its nice to add a dual threat leader to the offense." The Texas Revolution are proud members of the Indoor Football League, and play all home games in the Allen Event Center in Allen, TX.
