Return Flight, Call-ups Meet Tonight
December 28, 2002 - NBA G League (G League) News Release
By virtue of a 76-63 victory over Mobile in the Dec. 27 edition of the I-65 Series, the Huntsville Flight reclaimed first place in the league standings. The Flight leads Fayetteville, who lost 87-85 at home to Asheville Friday night, by one game. With a half game at stake, Huntsville plays tonight and Fayetteville does not.
Wilks, Simmons Face Off a Day Later
Instead of matching skills in the Von Braun Center Friday night in the I-65 Series, Mike Wilks and Bobby Simmons will instead meet Saturday evening at the MCI Center as the Washington Wizards host the Atlanta Hawks. Wilks started his first game as a Hawk on Friday after being called up from the Flight earlier this week. He scored seven points and dished out four assists in 33 minutes against San Antonio. Simmons will suit up for the Wizards Saturday after being called up from Mobile on Friday.
