Rancho Cucamonga, CA - Two of your Rancho Cucamonga Quakes will be on center-stage tonight, as the California League battles the Carolina League in the mid-summer classic. This year's game will take place at the home of the Winston-Salem Dash, from BB&T Ballpark in Winston-Salem, NC.
C.J. Retherford will start at third base for the Cal League and also participate in the Home Run Derby, while outfielder Leon Landry will come off the bench.
Retherford had a monstrous first half for the Quakes, as he ranks in the Cal League in the top five for batting average (.338), homers (16) and RBIs (52).
Landry has enjoyed a break-out year at the top of the Quakes' batting order, hitting .321 while leading the Quakes in steals with 14.
