New Britain Rock Cats News Release
The Rock Cats Home Opener is just 1 week away and Jeff Dooley, voice of the Rock Cats, is currently in Ft. Myers with the team. He will be offering fans a preview of the 2008 Rock Cats with a special Spring Training Radio Show to be broadcast tonight, March 27th, from 6:00 - 7:00 PM on WDRC-AM (1360) - the Rock Cats' flagship station - as well as network affiliates WMMW, AM 1440, WSNG, AM 610 and WMCO, AM 1240. To comment upon the 2008 edition of the Rock Cats, Jeff will be joined in the Florida studio by New Britain 's first-year Manager, Bobby Cuellar, who will offer his live commentary on the players who will be accompanying him to Connecticut for the upcoming campaign. In addition to the new skipper, Dooley will also be joined on the broadcast by his insightful game-day color man, Dan Lovallo, and Rock Cats beat writer Ken Lipshez (New Britain Herald). Each will be on hand to pose questions and provide commentary and perspective on the upcoming season. Final roster decisions are expected today so there should be plenty to talk about.
Rock Cats fans are invited to tune in for this special 2008 Season Preview. Jeff will also be inviting listeners to call in to the live program in order to ask Cuellar and his other guests questions about the 2008 team.
The Rock Cats season opens Thursday, April 3, at 6:05pm. First pitch will be preceded by player introductions and other Opening Night festivities. Great seats are still available.
