
Reno Bighorns Trampled Idaho Stampede

Reno, NV - The Reno Bighorns won 110-83 over the Idaho Stampede Friday night at the Reno Events Center.
The Bighorns took the early lead in the first quarter with the help of Sundiata Gaines and DeQuan Jones' having 7 points. After the first quarter of play, Reno led 37-13.
The second quarter Reno continued their lead throughout the quarter. They had their biggest lead of the game at 30 points. Going into halftime, the Bighorns were up 63-33. Sundiata Gaines had 14 points, Trent Lockett added 9. For the Stampede, Kevin Murphy scored 11 points.
The Stampede came within 20 points of the Bighorns in the third quarter; however they were not able to get any closer. Half of the Bighorns points in the third quarter were second chance points, 10 (5/5). After three quarters of play, Reno continued to lead 83-55 going into the fourth quarter.
The Bighorns outscored the Stampede in points in the paint, 60-44. Reno also outshot Idaho 58.9%-38.0%.
The Bighorns were led by KC Rivers with 18 points. Also in double figures for Reno were: DeQuan Jones (15), Sundiata Gaines (14), Walker Russel (14), and Trent Lockett (11). Mickell Gladness added 10 rebounds.
For the Stampede, Kevin Murphy had a game-high 21 points. Also in double figures were: Derrick Character (16), and Dee Bost (12).
