EL SEGUNDO, CA - The Los Angeles D-Fenders (30-17) defeated the Reno Bighorns (27-21) 119-108 on Monday night at Toyota Sports Center; officially clinching the West division title.
In the first quarter, the D-Fenders forced the Bighorns into 10 turnovers, converting those turnovers into 14 points. In addition, Los Angeles only turned the ball over once, leading to an 11-point advantage after the initial 12 minutes of play. The D-Fenders continued to push their advantage in the second quarter, using a 15-4 run in the middle of the frame to extend their edge to as many as 23 points. Los Angeles would allow Reno to inch closer in the final minutes, but managed to maintain a double-digit lead after one half. Overall, the D-Fenders shot 51 percent from the floor and posted 27 fast break points in the first half.
In the third quarter, Los Angeles extended their advantage once again to as many as 17 points, but Reno countered with a 12-4 run to end the period to climb within single-digits. The Bighorns continued to close the gap in the final 12 minutes, pulling within six points with three minutes to play. However, Los Angeles closed the game by shooting 64.7 percent in the fourth quarter, which proved too much for the Bighorns to overcome.

In addition, Shawne Williams (19 points), C.J. Williams (10 points, six rebounds) and Josiah Turner (10 points, six assists) also finished in double-digits for Los Angeles.
