
Reno Bighorns Acquire NBA Veteran David Harrison

RENO, NEV.- The Reno Bighorns have acquired NBA veteran center David Harrison from the available player pool. To make room for the acquisition, the team has waived Blake Ahearn for personal reasons while he and his wife tend to the birth of their first child. Harrison is expected to be in uniform for tonight's game against the Rio Grande Valley Vipers at the Reno Events Center at 7 p.m.
Harrison (7-0, 280 lbs.) has previously played 189 games, including 33 starts, over four seasons with the Indiana Pacers, averaging 5.0 points and 2.9 rebounds while shooting 53.0 percent from the field. Most recently he played for the Tianjin Ronggang in the Chinese Basketball Association averaging 14.9 points, 10 rebounds and 0.9 blocks per game.
Blake Ahearn is currently the NBA D-League's leading scorer, averaging 23.8 points per game. Earlier in the season, he set an NBA D-League record with 110 consecutive free throws. He is expected to rejoin the team after the birth of his child.
