Renegades to Unveil Uniforms Saturday

OTTAWA – Friday, May 24, 2002 – The Ottawa Renegades uniforms, which have so far been a well-kept secret, will finally be unveiled to Ottawa football fans tomorrow.

Four ‘Gader players will be on hand to model the home and away uniforms, while some of the coaching staff will display their new sideline gear. Furthermore, the club's mascot, Ruffy the Beaver, will help kick off the event by parading throughout the Bayshore Shopping Centre, starting at 10:00 am. Members of the Renegades' Molson Canadian Dance Team will also be performing at the uniform launch.

The event itself will take place on Saturday, May 25, between the hours of 11:00 am and 1:00 pm, at Sports Expert, on the third level of the Bayshore Shopping Centre. The Centre is located at 100 Bayshore Drive in Ottawa.

Furthermore, season ticket holders will be invited to an all-afternoon event that same day. The Season Ticket Pick-Up BBQ Party, to be held from 1:00 to 6:00 pm, allows the more than 12,000 season ticket holders to meet players and coaches while picking up their season tickets

Professional football returns to the Nation's Capital this spring as the Ottawa Renegades open up their inaugural training camp at Kemptville College on June 1st. The regular season kicks off on June 28 against the visiting Saskatchewan Roughriders at Frank Clair Stadium.
