Rome Renegades News Release
ROME, GA. - In preparation for the 2006 American Indoor Football League season the Rome Renegades have scheduled a preseason game against the Chattahoochee Valley Vipers. The game will take place on Friday, February 17, 2006 in Columbus, GA at 7 pm at the Columbus Civic Center. The Renegades begin camp one week prior to that on February 7th. "With this being the preseason we are in the evaluation mode and this will be another method of evaluating our players." "We will have seven or eight days of practice before this scrimmage and then seven or eight games of practice after the scrimmage so this scrimmage will give us a good idea of where we are and what we need to work on", says Head Coach, David Humphreys.
The Renegades will begin regular season play on Monday, February 27, 2006 in Richmond against the Bandits. The Renegades home opener will be Friday, March 24, 2006 at 7 pm in The Forum.
