Renegades to host first combine in Rome

ROME, Ga. - The Rome Renegades will be hosting the first combine for the 2006 season in Rome on Saturday, October 15. The combine will begin at 10 a.m. and will be located at the Anthony Recreational Center or in case of rain, Shorter College. "Saturday's event will provide our coaching staff with the opportunity to look for the best talent available and provide us with a pool of players to make the best team," said chief operations officer, David Humphreys. Skills testing will include the 10, 20 and 40 yard dash, vertical jump and individual specific drills. Photographs and video will be taken of each participant.

Any athlete 18 years or older who is interested in pursuing a football career is encouraged to attend the Renegades combine. Any athlete participating in a professional combine does lose NCAA eligibility. Registration information is currently available on line at www.romerengades.com. Pre-registration is $45 and day of registration is $55. Cash and money orders are accepted only. All combine participants will receive a free Renegades T-Shirt.
