
Renegades sign two defensive backs

ROME, Ga. - The Rome Renegades have continued to build for the 2006 season by signing defensive backs Jermaine Collins and Russell Green. Collins, 6-1, 190 pounds, joins the Renegades after playing at Albany State University for four seasons. Jermaine was an All-SIAC Conference CB in 2003 and was named to the All-Star Black Classic Bowl in 2004. Collins is from Hawkinsville, GA where he played at Hawkinsville High School.
Green, 5-11, 195 pounds, comes to the Renegades from Jacksonville State University, where last season he led the team with five interceptions and second on the team with 53 tackles. Green was also named to the All-Ohio Valley Conference first team and helped the Gamecocks win the Ohio Valley Conference in 2003 and 2004. Green is originally from Birmingham, AL.
