
Renegades sign four-time all American Pesqueira

ROME, Ga. - The Rome Renegades have signed 6-1, 230 pound defensive end Freddy Pesqueira. Pesqueira went to Georgia Southern University where he was a 4-time NCAA Division I-AA All-American and also a 4-time All-Southern Conference performer. In 2001 Freddy was a Buck Buchanan Award finalist, which is given to the top defensive player in Division I-AA, with 88 total tackles, 12 tackle for losses, 3 sacks, 6 pass break-ups and 3 forced fumbles. He also helped the Eagles win two National Championships and four Southern Conference titles. Pesqueira is from Kennesaw, GA where he played at North Cobb High School.
