Renegades Set Final Roster

Richmond Renegades News Release


The Richmond Renegades broke training camp and submitted their final roster to the SPHL office today. It included nine returning players and four true rookies. The team features nine Canadian and nine American players and will once again be led by Captain Dan Vandermeer, the 2007-08 SPHL Defenseman of the Year.

The Renegades placed goalie JOSSELIN ST. PIERRE on compassionate leave due to a death in the family. Under SPHL rules he can be away from the team for up to three games after which time he must either be added to the roster or released.

Opening night for the Renegades is Friday, October 24th against Twin Cities with pre-game ceremonies starting at 7:15 pm. The first 2,000 fans will receive a magnetic schedule courtesy of UNOS (United Network for Organ Sharing). The night will also feature recording artist Bria Kelly who will perform not only the anthems but two contemporary songs during the intermissions. Plus fans will be entertained by performers from the Richmond Highland Games and Celtic Festival.
