Rome Renegades News Release

ROME, Ga. - The Rome Renegades Owners have announced that they have purchased the Raleigh (N.C.) Rebels and will take over operations immediately. The Rebels (4-1) are part of the AIFL's Southern Division along with the Renegades. "We are extremely excited to have this Raleigh team", says Renegades owner Harry Pierce. "Raleigh is a great city and they have a great team that deserve the best, and that is what this group of owners wants to give them" Pierce added.

"The Renegades are still Rome's team and will always be Rome's team" says Renegades Chief Operations Officer and Owner David Humphreys. "It has been a goal of this group of owners to purchase another team from day one and the Raleigh team is just a good fit for the organization as a whole." Humphreys says.

The Renegades and the Rebels will meet on Friday May 5th for the first time in Rome. Currently both teams are tied for first place in the Atlantic Division.
