OTTAWA – The Ottawa Renegades Football Club will play a part in The BEAR's second annual "Have A Heart for CHEO" Radiothon this week.

Renegades receiver Pat Woodcock, a Kanata native, will take part on the second of the three-day event, which will raise funds for the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO). The Radiothon will take place in the cafeteria of the hospital on 415 Smyth Road in Ottawa from March 9-11.

Woodcock, who takes part in dozens of community events, will be on hand Thursday, March 10 at 3 p.m. – part of the day-long coverage The BEAR will be taking part in over the three-day period.

The public is invited to pledge their support by calling "BEAR HUG" at 613-232-7484 to make the donation. Donations can also be made in person, or mailed to the CHEO Foundation or at www.cheofoundation.com

One hundred per cent of the proceeds from The BEAR's "Have A Heart for CHEO" Radiothon will go directly to The Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario to fund research, purchase new equipment, train staff, create a more child and youth friendly environment, enhance the pediatric nature of the hospital and assist families in crisis.
