Renegades first combine on Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Anthony Center

Rome Renegades News Release


ROME, Ga. - The Rome Renegades will be hosting the first combine for the 2006 season in Rome on Saturday, October 15 at 10 a.m. at the Anthony Center in west Rome. The start time was adjusted from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. to allow more time for participants traveling from out of town. The Renegades have had several participants pre-register for Saturday's event and anticipate more to register the morning of the event. This combine, along with the six others the Renegades have planned for the fall, will provide the coaching staff with the opportunity to look for the best talent available creating a pool of players to make the best team possible. The combine will include skills testing in the 10, 20 and 40 yard dash, vertical jump and individual specific drills. Gatorade, an official sponsor for the 2006 season, will be partnering with the Renegades for a successful first combine on Saturday.

Combine Eligibility & Registration- Any athlete 18 years or older who is interested in pursuing a football career is encouraged to attend the Renegades combine. Any athlete participating in a professional combine does lose NCAA eligibility. Registration information is currently available on line at www.romerengades.com. Pre-registration is $45 and day of registration is $55. Cash and money orders are accepted only. All combine participants will receive a free Renegades T-Shirt.
