Renegades Add Two More to Training Camp Roster

ROME, Ga. - With only a five days until training camp opens the Rome Renegades have continued to add to the training camp roster. OL Dwayne Morgan and K Anil Pereira have both signed contracts with the Renegades for the 2006 AIFL season.
Morgan, 6-4, 330 pounds, brings several years of professional experience to the Renegades. He has spent seven seasons in the CFL, five with the Toronto Argonauts (1997-1999, 2000-2001), one with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats (1996), one with the Montreal Alouettes (2000). Morgan was a four-time CFL All-Star (1997, 1998, 2000, 2001) and won one Grey Cup Championship in 1997 with Toronto. Morgan then spent the 2003 season in the NFL with the Atlanta Falcons and the 2004 season with the Washington Redskins. Morgan went to Northwestern Oklahoma A&M Jr. College before transferring to Clemson University. Morgan is originally from Griffin, Ga., where he attended Griffin High School.
Pereira, 5-9, 185 pounds, comes to the Renegades after playing several years of semi-pro football for the Fredericksburg Titans. Anil has attended Fort Valley State University, St. John Neumann Minor Seminary, and Mount St. Mary's Seminary. Pereira is from Dalton, Ga. Where he attended Dalton High School.
The Renegades will begin play on Monday February 27, in Richmond, Va., against the Richmond Bandits. The Renegades will open up their home schedule on Friday, March 24th when they host the Florence Phantoms at The Forum. Kickoff is scheduled for 7pm.
