Reigning Knights of Georgia News Release
Atlanta, GA. The Reigning Knights of Georgia won their second game of the season against the visiting New Jersey SkyCats 102-100 in exciting ABA professional basketball action.
It was a bittersweet win as it was the last game for Georgia Head Coach Brian Couso. Coach Couso had started to turn the team around after a difficult start - and will hand the much improved Reigning Knights over to Assistant Coach Rufus Greer, Jr., the team's GM. Coach Couso said that he was sad to leave the team and that he wishes each player good luck throughout the season and their careers. Coach Couso cited personal reasons for his departure but did not rule out a return to coaching or to the Reigning Knights in the future.
Greer stated, "We wish Coach Couso good luck and would like to say THANK YOU for everything you have done to establish a base for this team in our first season of play in the ABA. We will miss you."
