
Regina Pats to Host First Nations & Metis Awareness

Regina, Saskatchewan - The Regina Pats Hockey Club is pleased to announce, in association with FHQ Developments, the organization will host its annual First Nations and Metis Awareness Night this Sunday, when the Seattle Thunderbirds visit the Brandt Centre.
In a pre-game ceremony, Regina Pats C.O.O. Marty Klyne will receive a white eagle feather, the highest honor an individual can receive in indigenous culture.
Following the ceremony, two members of the Muskowpetung First Nation will take part in pre-game festivities. Twelve year-old Christian Sunshine-Lerat, a member of the Regina Pats Kids club, will announce the Pats starting lineup. In addition, Sunday's seventh skater is nine year-old Kian Poitras.
There will be a number of activities surrounding the game as well. The Regina Police Service Cultural Unit will have a display set up on the concourse, including a large teepee.
Puck drop Sunday against Seattle is at 4 p.m. Tickets are available at reginapats.com, the Brandt Centre Box Office and all Regina Safeway locations.
