
"Reelin' In The Steelheads" Debuts on WYIN-TV Thursday Night

GARY, Indiana (December 21, 2005) - A new weekly television focusing on the Gary Steelheads debuts Thursday night, December 22nd at 6:30PM. The program is named "Reelin' In The Steelheads," and it will air over WYIN-TV, Channel 56.
The program features a weekly discussion about the Steelheads, as well as interviews with coaches and players. The Genesis Center in Gary will be the on-site location for many of the programs.
Host of the program is Chicago and Northwest Indiana sports broadcaster and air personality Tommy Williams. In addition to his work as public address announcer at Steelheads' home games, Williams is well known as a sports reporter, talk show host and play-by-play broadcaster.
WYIN-TV, Channel 56 is the public television station for Northwest Indiana. The station features programming from PBS, as well as a strong lineup of local programming ranging from daily newscasts to sports coverage. The station is now carried by the vast majority of cable systems in Northwest Indiana and Chicagoland.
Guests on the first program will be The Times sports reporter, columnist and Steelheads' beat writer Al Hamnik, along with Steelheads' play-by-play broadcaster Bill Hazen.
After its initial airing Thursday night, the program will move to a regular time slot of Friday nights, airing at 6:30PM.
