The regularly scheduled game between the Sarasota Reds and the Ft. Myers Miracle for Friday, August 8th has been suspended in the bottom of the first inning due to heavy rain and dangerous lightning at Ed Smith Stadium with it forecasted to continue on and off throughout the evening. The suspended game will be made up as part of a doubleheader Saturday, August 9th featuring the completion of the suspended game starting at 4pm with a seven-inning game to follow. The score was tied at zero in the bottom of the first with no outs on the Reds lead off batter.
